Jim Estrada is a nationally renowned expert in ethnic marketing and community relations, with over 40 years of non-profit, public and private sector experience. In 1992, he founded Estrada Communications Group in San Antonio, Texas. Now based in Austin, ECG has created a unique niche as a strategic ethnic marketing and public relations agency.

The firm's list of past and current business clients include: Advantica (Denny's), Anheuser-Busch Companies, AT&T Mobility, Cingular Wireless, HISPANIC Magazine, Lopez Foods, Marathon Oil, McDonald's, MCI, Pizza Hut, Story Corps' Historias, Super Show Deportivo (NFL/TV), Univisión Communications, Walmart Stores, Wells Fargo Bank, et al.

He directed national beer brand marketing for Anheuser-Busch (St. Louis, MO) and launched the brewery's corporate relations programs for the Southwest (Houston, Texas). He was recruited away from his marketing and public relations duties at McDonald's in Arizona, California, and Nevada markets.

In the public sector, he developed public information, citizen participation and community relations programs for the San Diego County Council of Governments and later designed and implemented the marketing campaign for voter approval and construction of the San Diego Trolley - the most successful (fare-box revenue generating) light rail systems in the U.S.

The former television news reporter and documentary film producer is a blogger and speaker on matters related to U.S. Latinos and corporate/community relations. His book, "The ABCs & Ñ: Essays on America's Cultural Evolution" is currently being pitched to publishers.

He serves on the Advisory Council of the University of Texas Libraries and provides counsel to the VOCES Oral History Project, a collection of interviews, photographs, and other memorabilia provided by Latino war veterans and families from WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

Jim attended San Diego State University (broadcast journalism, 1971), Boston College (Center for Corporate Community Relations, 1988) and The Harvard School of Business (HACR Corporate Governance Program, 2006).
