Josefina Castillo BaltodanoSenior Advisor to the President, External Relations
Dr. Baltodano was at the University of California, Berkeley as an administrator and faculty member from 1980 to 1998. She served at Alliant International University in California as executive vice president for strategic planning and advancement and university professor. She also served at John F. Kennedy University, California where she was vice president for university research, vice president for university relations and dean, and professor in the School of Management. She is presently Of Counsel for Nantucket Coaching Network and senior advisor to the president, external relations at California State University, East Bay. She serves on the Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) Board of Directors and on the University of Wisconsin System President’s Council on Diversity. She is the immediate past chair of the Network Executive Board of the American Council on Education’s Office of Women in Higher Education and served on the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Commission. In 2005, she was awarded the Special Congressional Recognition for Outstanding and Invaluable Service to the Community, presented by U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi. She was named a 2007 Distinguished Alumni at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh where she earned her undergraduate degree. Dr. Baltodano earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law. Dr. Baltodano is a noted seminar presenter on the following topics: equity and inclusion, comprehensive campaigns, advancement, board recruitment and development, strategic planning and executive leadership training.
