CONCURRENT SESSIONS
CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Individuals attending and presenting at AAHHE national conferences are committed education professionals seeking the best practices, latest research and most successful new programs to accelerate change at their institutions.

The 2010 AAHHE national conference will take place march 4-6, 2010 at the Hilton Costa Mesa Hotel, Costa Mesa, California.

We highly encourage you to submit a concurrent session proposal. Please match your proposal to the conference theme listed above.

 

Program participants
The first presenter is the principal contact and is responsible for 1) coordinating all correspondence among co-presenters and the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education, and 2) for organizing and facilitating the presentation.

Due to space limitations, only three presenters will be listed in the conference program.

All presenters are required to register and pay the conference registration fee.

Submission deadline: Thursday, October 1, 2009.

Presentation Description:
Describe your session in 50-75 words to be used in the conference program to accurately, persuasively, and succinctly tell conference participants what to expect from your session.. The description should be completed in such a way to help conference participants determine the scope and level of the session and its appropriateness to their needs. The description should answer two questions: What will participants learn in this session? Whom will this session particularly benefit?
 
Presentation Plan:
Provide a brief overview of your proposed activities, visual aids, handouts and so forth.
Describe how you plan to ensure audience involvement. Traditional lecture-only presentations are strongly discouraged.

AAHHE will provide a portable screen, LCD projector and a laptop for all concurerrent sessions. Internet service will not be provided.

Honoraria, Expenses and Registration
Neither honoraria nor expenses will be paid by AAHHE to program presenters.

All presenters are required to register and pay the conference registration fee.

Program Changes
The American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education reserves the right to recommend changes in proposal and to encourage joint presentations if multiple proposals are submitted on similar topics.
