Thirteenth Annual National Conference March 8-10, 2018

Hotel Irvine, Irvine, California

“Latino Students: Policy, Assessment and Academic Preparation for Success”

If the Tomas Rivera Lecture, awards and plenary sessions are the highlights of an annual AAHHE conference, the concurrent sessions are the heart and soul. This is when the latest research, proven policies, and creative solutions and practices are shared. This is where we focus in on the issues and challenges and face them with our collective intellect, experience, and wisdom.

Share your research, institutional best practices, successful programs, or creative new solutions with your colleagues from across the country in a scholarly and supportive environment.

Concurrent session proposals will be selected based on quality and applicability to the five pillars of this year’s theme:

  • Serving Latino Students: Evolving Role of the Community College
  • Creating Pathways for Latinos in the STEM fields
  • Meeting the Needs of Immigrant Students
  • Preparing the Next Generation of Latino Students: Access, Delivery, Workforce
  • Policy, Assessment and Academic Preparation: Facilitating Student Success
