Fourteenth Annual National Conference February 28 – March 2, 2019

Hilton Orange County Hotel, Costa Mesa, California

“Civil Rights & the LatinX Community: Our Social, Economic, and

Educational Future”

If the Tomas Rivera Lecture, awards and plenary sessions are the highlights of an annual AAHHE conference, the concurrent sessions are the heart and soul. This is when the latest research, proven policies, and creative solutions and practices are shared. This is where we focus in on the issues and challenges and face them with our collective intellect, experience, and wisdom.

Share your research, institutional best practices, successful programs, or creative new solutions with your colleagues from across the country in a scholarly and supportive environment.

Concurrent session proposals will be selected based on quality and applicability to the five pillars of this year’s theme:

  • Serving Latinx Students in Community College
  • Creating Pathways for Latinx Students in the STEM fields
  • Meeting the Needs of Immigrant Students
  • La Mujer en Educacion: Challenges, Strengths, and Contributions
  • Policy, Assessment and Academic/Workforce Preparation
