Individual Memberships
The individual membership categories include administrators, faculty, and students. With your individual membership, you will be a part of AAHHE’s goal of developing Latinx professionals, faculty and senior administrative positions in higher education and other professions. You will also receive benefits to directly support your on-going professional development.
Individual Membership Types & Fees
The membership cycle runs from July 1 to June 30 of each year. To activate your annual AAHHE Individual Membership, please click the category that best represents you in your current occupation below:

This category encompasses persons who are administrators in higher education. This category includes full-time administrators who are Chancellors, Presidents, Deans, Associate Deans, Assistants/Secretaries, etc.

Individual membership benefits include:
- Receive member rate for annual and regional conferences, webinars and events
- Receive member rate for leadership institutes
- Online subscription to the Journal of Hispanic Higher Education (4 issues per year) (Exclusively for AAHHE members; individual online subscriptions are not available outside the AAHHE membership.) Members will receive online quarterly issues in January, April, July, and October of each calendar year. New AAHHE members will be able to access the next JHHE issue published after they join AAHHE; for example, if a member joined in August, they will be able to access the October issue.

Educational Programs, Leadership Opportunities, and Scholarships
- Eligibility to participate in AAHHE’s Fellowship Programs, with an invitation to publish an article in the Hispanic Outlook Magazine
- Eligibility to participate in the New Leadership Academy
- Opportunity to submit to the annual AAHHE-ETS Outstanding Dissertations Competition
- Eligibility to contribute scholarly research papers for publication in the Journal of Hispanics in Higher Education
- Invitation to participate in webinars and roundtable discussions and contribute scholarly research briefs for publication on the AAHHE website
- Opportunity to serve on AAHHE’s standing committees

Community Building and Networking
- All student members are part of the student forum
- All faculty are part of a faculty forum
- All administrators and other professionals are part of a forum where specific topics of the area are addressed
- All retired members can participate in the AAHHE Retirement Network.
- All members can create new forums and networking "circles".
- Each group will have unique opportunities to gather at the conference to share interests and resources
Referral Program*
AAHHE has recently implemented a referral opportunity for their members.
Invite a minimum of 5 professionals, administrators, general public, or undergraduate/graduate students to become an AAHHE member, and have them list your name and information in the referral section of the membership application form.

* The referral memberships will need to be processed and paid before you can receive the free membership. If you have paid your membership before inviting your referrals, you will be refunded the membership amount paid once the referral memberships have been processed.
